Hope Heals NW general program outline

Hope Heals NW is committed to treating all residents with respect, dignity, empathy, and transparency. 

• Be admitted voluntarily
• Be 18 years of age or older
• Be at least 28 days from the last use of alcohol and/or drugs
• Be medically stable
• Have adequate control over their behavior and assessed not to be imminently dangerous to oneself or others
• Express a desire to recover from addiction to drugs or alcohol
• Be assessed as medically appropriate and free of any illness that requires isolation from others
• Have the capacity for active participation in all program requirements
• Have adequate resources to pay for the program

History of sexual offenses, violent felonies, and serious mental illness disqualify applicants for residency.

 Zero tolerance policy concerning drug and alcohol use. Residents must agree to UA testing upon house entry and at random. 

It is our firm belief that each resident is personally responsible for their own actions and their own sobriety. Each resident is required to attend a weekly house meeting on Sunday evening in addition to 2 recovery based meetings per week and have a sponsor, or a certified recovery coach, within the first month of residency. Acceptable recovery meetings include IOP, OP, Recovery Circle, 12-step or faith-based recovery meetings (AA/NA/CA). 

Residents may be enrolled in MAT while living in the house. Our house allows all medications prescribed by their physician. Residents are required to agree to take medications only as prescribed and keep stored in a provided lock box.

The resident will be responsible for supplying their own clothes, toiletries, and food. Everything else is provided! Residents will be required to participate in weekly household chores to maintain the home. Residents will have a 10 PM curfew the first 30 days of living in the house. After 30 days, curfew is extended to midnight and residents are allowed 2 overnights out of the house per week. 

Guests are able to visit the house. Visiting hours are 8 AM - 10 PM. Guests must be approved by House Manager. Overnight guests are not permitted. 

Grounds for immediate residency termination:

• Physical or verbal abuse/violence/Intimidation
• Destruction of property or bringing weapons/illicit substances onto the property
• Positive UA test or refusing a UA/room search
• Staying out all night without prior approval or allowing adult guests to stay overnight
• Sharing medications or not taking them as prescribed
• Theft of any kind
• Disrespect and/or lying to staff or to other house management

The cost for our program is $700 per month (all utilities are included in this cost) and a one-time non-refundable move in fee of $250. Some of our residents are able to qualify for assistance with this fee, we accept housing vouchers.

Prospective residents should fill out and submit an application, our team will process the application & background check, then prospective residents will do a brief phone interview with Hope Heals NW Executive Director to qualify for housing. Once approved, then a move in date is set.
